As the days get shorter and the air takes on that familiar crispness, we at Patch to Porch Colorado find ourselves eagerly anticipating the cozy charm of the fall season. And what better way to embrace the autumn vibe than by supporting the incredible local businesses that make our Highlands Ranch community so special? From warm coffee shops to hearty restaurants and lively breweries, our team has a few go-to spots that we love to frequent once the leaves start to change.


Here are some of our absolute favorite local businesses to enjoy during the fall season (warning- there is a ton of beer and coffee ahead):


Little Owl Coffee


As the mornings get a little chillier, a warm cup of coffee is an absolute must. Little Owl Coffee provides not only an exceptional cup of joe but also a warm and inviting atmosphere. We love their expertly roasted beans and the friendly faces behind the counter. It's the perfect place to grab a latte to warm your hands while you're out and about enjoying the autumn weather.


Lost Coffee


Lost Coffee is another one of our go-to coffee shops in the area, and it's a true gem. Their Highlands Ranch location offers a unique and welcoming space, making it a perfect spot to meet with a friend or get some work done. In the fall, their seasonal drinks are a particular treat, and we love the chance to sit and watch the world go by with a delicious beverage in hand.


New Terrain Brewing Co.


Nothing says fall in Colorado like a trip to the mountains, and New Terrain Brewing Co. is our perfect stop on the way. Nestled in Golden, this brewery offers stunning views and a lively outdoor space that is perfect for enjoying the crisp fall air. We love their diverse selection of beers and the food trucks that often frequent the brewery. It's a great place to gather with friends and family for a memorable autumn afternoon. The Golden Haze IPA is our go to.


High Society Pizza


When the nights get longer and the temperature drops, sometimes all you want is a comforting and delicious meal at home. High Society Pizza delivers on that front and more. Their creative and mouth-watering pizzas are a perfect centerpiece for a cozy fall evening. We love their unique flavor combinations and the quality ingredients they use. It’s our ideal dinner choice for a night in, watching a movie with a warm slice of pizza. The hot-honey drizzle is one of a kind!


Manning's Steaks and Spirits


For a more upscale dining experience that is perfect for a date night or a special

occasion, we adore Manning's Steaks and Spirits. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect escape from the chill of the evening. Their incredible steaks and extensive spirits menu provide the perfect backdrop for a long, leisurely dinner with loved ones. It's a place where you can truly savor the moment.


Oodelally Coffee



Oodelally Coffee is a hidden gem that we can’t get enough of. With its quirky name and delightful atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to start your day. We love their friendly service and their commitment to serving high-quality coffee. It's a great place to stop by before a fall hike or just to get a caffeine boost on a chilly afternoon.


Simply Savory Meals



As the fall season brings with it a busier schedule, sometimes we need a little help in the kitchen. That's where Simply Savory Meals comes in. Their prepared meals are a lifesaver on a busy weeknight. We love that we can enjoy a delicious, home-cooked meal without all the work. It allows us more time to enjoy the beautiful weather and all the other activities that fall has to offer. Simply Savor catered our Thanksgiving meal last year and it was a hit!


Breckenridge Brewery & Farmhouse Restaurant


The sprawling campus of Breckenridge Brewery is a perfect destination for a fall outing. With its scenic location and beautiful outdoor spaces, it’s a great place to enjoy a beer and a meal. We love their extensive beer selection and the comforting, hearty food at the Farmhouse Restaurant. It's an ideal spot for a weekend gathering, and the perfect place to soak in the last bits of sunshine before winter arrives. Everytime we go, Michael swears he is going to try somethig new but the Bison Meatloaf calls to hm every time!


Highlands Ranch Mansion


For a taste of local history and breathtaking scenery, the Highlands Ranch Mansion is a must-visit. The historic mansion and its grounds provide a stunning backdrop for a fall stroll. We love to attend one of their many public events or simply take a tour to appreciate the beautiful architecture and history as the leaves change color. It’s a perfect way to step back in time and enjoy the beauty of the season.


The Eddy Taproom & Hotel


The Eddy Taproom & Hotel is our go-to "basecamp" for a fall adventure. Located in Golden, it's the perfect spot to start or end a day of hiking, exploring the nearby canyons, or enjoying one of Golden's many fall festivals. We love to relax on the outdoor lawn, enjoy a local craft beer from the taproom, and watch the sun set over the foothills. It's a fantastic place to embrace the rugged beauty of Colorado in the autumn.
